About me

I’m Dawn Eagleton, a Street Photographer from the UK, now based in Ibiza. I graduated from University with a BA Hons in Communication and Film, so I have always been interested in visuals but equally in human behaviour.

When I first picked up a camera, a FUJIFILM X-T1 in 2016, I knew I wanted to explore portraiture but what I quickly came to realise is that I am fascinated by capturing people as they truly are. I find there is real beauty in natural expression and posture.

I continually seek to find moments of authenticity around the streets in the hope that, through my photographs, the viewer can connect to the subject and recognise our shared human experiences and feelings.
Over the last 7 years my camera and work have taken me to various cities across the world, and I’ve been lucky enough to have had my work published in various reputable photography journals and exhibited in cities such as NYC, London, Rome and Singapore.
Fast forward to 2025 and I was invited to front the campaign for the latest Fujifilm X-Series camera. I have also had the privilege of visiting their head office in Tokyo and factory in Sendai with the Fujifilm UK team.
2025 culminates in the release of my debut book “Through the Glass’ A collection of my candid and unposed portraits from the last 7 years. This series evolved right from the start of my photography journey when I was seeking people having solitary and reflective moments.

Usually I would find them sat down in cafés or on public transport. Over time I realised I was fortuitously collecting this cohesive catalogue of images that all had the same thing in common – they were all taken through glass.
I soon learned that glass was a wonderful tool to utilise in street photography, allowing me to get close to subjects without disturbing them but also providing me with opportunities to get creative with layers, light and contrast.

I’m delighted to be able to offer these completed works to the people who have shown me so much support over the course of my career so far.
